Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A chopper flying near a well-attended southern California coastline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Recordings posted online show the chopper starting to spin above the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a staircase near the coastal road.

The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
